Zinpro headquarters are located in Eden Prairie, MN, however this position can be remote and located anywhere with in the United States
Position Summary
The Global Pet Director is responsible for growing sales, increasing brand awareness, and bring new global customers to Zinpro.
This includes developing, implementing, and executing a 5-year sales plan for Zinpro Pet products, including commercial strategy, pricing strategy and tactics designed to establish a new business and fuel profitable growth.
The director focuses on the top 12 global pet food clients we have targeted.
Zinpro is a business-to-business global leader in performance trace minerals and our products have been proven to work through over 350 peer reviewed research papers.
The Pet industry is a brand-new market for Zinpro, but we have research supporting our expected success in this industry.
The GD will report directly to the President/CEO and will be the key leadership role in developing, implementing, and executing our 5-year growth plan in this market.
Essential Functions Develop strategic and tactical plans to connect Zinpro to the right people at the top 12 global pet food companies that we have targeted.
Then execute against those plans.
Develop sales approach and go-to-market strategy, in partnership with Pet Leadership Align Zinpro with the top 12 global prospects to start the sales process of having Zinpro inside their products.
Pursue new business, build and manages relationships with objective of cultivating successful long-term supplier partnerships.
Manage customer relationships through visits, trainings, preparing sales and marketing support tools on a global level.
Achieve sales goals and objectives within the established budget Represent Zinpro Pet products at industry events and tradeshows Additional Responsibilities: Represent the Zinpro brand and value to the market Follows through on assigned tasks, works independently, and completes work on time.
Follows instructions and management direction, displays a cooperative and positive behavior Tactfully and courteously, maintains good working relationship with co-workers Develops positive relationships with designated customers Coordinates customer trials and evaluations of performance results Complete other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications The Global Pet Director should possess an outstanding knowledge of the industry and demonstrate a strong customer orientation.
Minimum Required: A Bachelor’s degree in animal science, business, marketing or related fields Minimum 10 years of experience as business development manager, account manager, or sales manager for a multinational dog/cat food manufacturer Sales management experience in the pet food industry (consumer) Have strong connections with the global pet food prospects Experience in local and regional sales roles Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, regulatory, science, technical, operations, legal and market research in a very collaborative environment Experience managing a network of customers and supporting their needs Excellent oral and written communications skills Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels internally and externally Computer literate in Microsoft Office and using the Internet Work Environment and Physical Requirements The work environment consists of a multiple different environment: standard office, long periods in a motor vehicle, kennels, cattery, manufacturing facilities, and/or at client/customers facilities.
Positions in this class typically require typing, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Schedule Requirements This position is expected to work within core business hours and requires participation in after-hours and weekend calls, customer/client events & meetings, and industry events.
Travel Requirements This position requires an estimated 50% travel, but it may be higher depending on business needs.
Required travel is both domestic and international.
A valid Passport is required.
