Scope of Work:
This position will focus on our sales efforts in the Springfield, IL area and downstate Illinois.
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients.
Duties may include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads and maintaining relationships with existing customers.
Experience in dealing with Engineering consultants and County Engineers needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
* Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods.
* Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients.
* Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
* Develops and implements strategies for sales in an assigned region or industry.
* Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
* Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
* Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
* Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
* Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
* Actively engages with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
* Cooperatively takes on other duties, roles, or responsibilities, as assigned.

Education/Experience:
* Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, sales, business, or related field preferred.
* 1+ years of outside sales experience required.
* High School diploma/GED required.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Proficient with Salesforce
* Experience in dealing with Engineering consultants and County Engineers .
Physical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
* Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
* Must be able to travel to various clients and prospects.
Pay Range: $50,000-$75,000 base annually plus bonuses, commissions and incentives commensurate on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.
