Summary: This position will play an integral part in helping NFP and PartnersFinancial firms grow their business by identifying and implementing various estate, business, income planning, and retirement planning concepts and strategies in connection with the sales of life insurance.
This is not a new business sales role, but in this role, you will provide an overview of advanced sales concepts and planning techniques through webinars, marketing materials, and presentations.
This position reports to the Managing Director of PartnersFinancial.
This is a hybrid position from our Austin, TX office with in-office flexibility 2-3 days a week.
We will consider an experienced hire with the listed credentials for a remote role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the distribution partners/advisors of NFP by providing assistance in the complex areas of advanced market planning
Design, revise, and review sales materials in the advanced markets planning area.
Review the use of such materials in the advanced markets
Consult with distribution partners/advisors on their current client situations, objectives and the applicability of strategies
Maintain positive relationships with member firms, carriers, and internal support team
Work with member firms and their staff, in conjunction with the internal teams, to provide case consultation and case design services
Draft marketing correspondence and sales ideas to help drive life insurance sales
Assist member firms, who are obtaining financing for proposed life insurance sales, through case design services
Maintain a broad knowledge of the life insurance product landscape as it pertains to available products, carrier illustration software, marketing resources, sales ideas, and advanced case design strategies and techniques
Maintain a high-level of knowledge regarding advanced sales concepts and engage in appropriate professional development opportunities
Must be able to accommodate US travel aprox 30% for conferences, client meetings, presentations etc.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
Prior experience in the insurance industry and a sales-facing position in advanced sales leadership
Experience in income tax planning for high-net- worth individuals
Professional communication and presentation skills
Ability to effectively speak in front of small and large groups of advisors
Self-starter with strong analytical skills
Highly responsive to, and proactive with, member firms and internal support team.
Ability to build a rapport both with firms and internal staff
Understanding of how life insurance products can be designed and utilized to meet the needs of clients in the high net worth and advanced sales marketplace
Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfortable conducting analysis of, and writing about, life insurance products, sales ideas, and advanced planning concepts
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, and MS Outlook
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the industry, providing advanced sales and marketing support along with estate and income tax planning.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
Either a JD, LLM, MST, or CPA are highly preferred.
Either a Series 7, 65, and/or Life and Health licenses are an added plus, but not required.
