The AVP develops an integrated marketing plan and oversees the execution of strategies designed to realize Illinois College’s vision and goals.
Reporting to the Vice President of External Relations, the AVP is a key campus leader charged with defining marketing objectives, monitoring progress, and measuring success within the College’s strategic framework.
The AVP leads a growing team of innovative and goal-oriented professionals and collaborates with colleagues, partners, and College leadership to take projects from strategy to completion.
The AVP oversees the execution of multiple marketing campaigns, particularly emphasizing strategic growth through growing enrollment of on-campus and online students and expanding fundraising opportunities.

Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy that aligns with the College’s strategic map, focusing on enrollment growth and increasing revenue streams.
Manage several key vendor relationships (e.
g.
, IC’s online program partner, digital marketing agency, etc.
), measuring effectiveness, ensuring accountability, utilizing an appropriate marketing mix, and engaging the campus in meeting objectives.
Provide leadership for the College’s communication and content strategies, particularly around differentiating IC in a competitive and changing marketplace.
Increase brand awareness regionally and nationally as the College approaches our bicentennial in 2029.
Oversee the development of marketing materials that are strategic, creative, timely, and integrated.
Leverage budget, content, and personnel resources to lead the Office of Marketing and Communications to have a direct impact on storytelling, enrollment growth, and brand consistency.
Develop systems to measure the effectiveness of marketing programs, track results, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to create and execute detailed marketing plans and measure their success.
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels including utilizing web content strategies, search engine optimization, and digital marketing channels.
Exceptional analytical skills with experience in developing and monitoring key performance indicators.
Able to develop and maintain collaborative relationships, engage in creative problem-solving, and extend enlightened hospitality when working with others.
Intercultural competency; ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
Success in developing and leading teams.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required.
Understanding of higher education and the recruitment of traditional and online students preferred.
