Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location.
As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows: Minimum full-time salary range is between $70,000 - $75,000.

Education, Skills and Knowledge Required Bachelor’s degree in Anatomy & Physiology and/or Microbiology 5+ years teaching experience.
Clear understanding of best teaching practices and ability to articulate content guidelines for assessment and content development, including the ability to break down a concept into smaller topics for targeted learning.
Excellent assessment writing skills, including the ability to write accurate and effective Anatomy & Physiology and/or Microbiology assessments and to support content SMEs/vendors to do the same.
Excellent internal and external problem solving with the ability to foster productive working relations with internal and external colleagues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills, including use of common Microsoft Office applications (e.
g.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Office tools (e.
g.
SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc.
), and ability to handle multiple computer applications simultaneously.
Strong initiative and organizational and skills, including the ability to prioritize, multitask, and make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
Preferred Master’s Degree in Anatomy & Physiology and/or Microbiology, Education 10 years teaching experience.
Experience working in Online Assessment Creation platform.
Experience as a Content Developer writing assessments for students.
Background/experience in Learning Design or Instructional Design.
Knowledge and use of project management tools and applications desired.
Basic Purpose and Objectives Manages content projects in the Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology disciplines, working to develop advanced assessment content that teaches students the required material while following industry standards for teaching.
Manages new and/or complex content assessment projects and may participate in inter- and intra-departmental initiatives.
Functions as a content/subject area expert in their disciplines for content, assessment & media development.
Coordinates with Production and Product Management teams to develop clear plans for content requirements for new and existing projects.
Overall Functions and Responsibilities Functions as Content Developer on multiple projects with varying schedules, scope and life cycles.
Plans content hours for assigned projects.
May be asked to consult on planned content project.
Create/maintain budget estimates for new content projects.
Work with SMEs and content vendors to manage the creation and development of Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology content for student & instructor use.
Provide support and guidance to develop content & pedagogical competency with these SMEs and vendors.
Reviews assessments/media/content samples and provides feedback to appropriate teams.
Works with multiple teams to gather requirements for creating assessments for assigned Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology projects.
Analyzes student usage data to determine the effectiveness of content and provide guidance for content improvement.
Supports Producers, Content Managers, and Product Management in analyzing and implementing solutions to content-related issues.
Reviews and responds to customer queries about content defects.
Fixes content defects/errors for Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology content in native authoring environment.
