_ *GENERAL OVERVIEW |* _Sunshine Bouquet, a leader in the mass-market floral industry, is looking for a motivated candidate to service our customers, managing, maintaining, and merchandising high-volume fresh-cut flower and potted plant displays in Springfield, IL.
_ *JOB DESCRIPTION |* _The Merchandiser works in our client’s facility.
Duties include:_ * _Cleaning, watering, restocking, and merchandising floral display before business opening hours.
_ * _Accessing cold storage (for short periods).
_ * _Moving palletized product around the facility with a manual pallet jack.
_ * _Lifting and palletizing boxes.
_ * _Standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and kneeling.
_ * _Quickly replenishing merchandise as items are purchased.
_ * _Identifying and removing damaged/outdated floral items from display.
_ * _Assisting potential floral customers with questions and selection of products during business hours.
_ * _Sending and receiving emails with photo attachments from a smartphone.
_ * _Conducting inventory counts of floral products.
_ *REQUIREMENTS |* _Candidate must be:_ * _Punctual.
_ * _Professional.
_ * _Self-starter.
_ * _Able to travel locally and must have a valid Driver’s License (in good standing).
_ * _Computer literate and own a smartphone (with data service).
_ * _Able to access a printer or own a printer.
_ * _Able to use Microsoft Outlook for mobile and desktop devices.
_ * _Able to work efficiently under minimal supervision.
_ * _Detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively with supervisor(s).
_ * _Able to work on their feet, move about, bend, kneel, and must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
_ * _Able to operate a manual pallet jack (training provided).
_ * _Available to work early mornings, split-shifts, weekends, and additional hours during holidays/promotional periods.
_ * _Able to work with floral materials and foliage.
