The Curriculum Small Wins Product Manager will be learning from and replicating the success of the existing Pearson Virtual Schools Small Wins team.
They will partner with our Connections Academy school teams in human-centered curriculum design and development.
The Curriculum Small Wins Product Manager will work to identify participants - including students and teachers- to onboard and train schools, and to schedule school teams to participate in design-thinking sprints.
In each sprint, school teams and PVS curriculum small wins team will conduct a design thinking exercise to prioritize “small win” work, to develop the “small wins,” and to test, validate, and deliver as a single “team.
” The intent is twofold- first for our customers to participate in our development cycle and to get immediate value from work completed that will allow them to harvest time to build relationships with students & differentiate instruction.
Second, our PVS teams build relationships with our schools, understand their real-world problems & opportunities, and appreciate how they are using our curriculum to better inform the broader Product & Technology roadmap & development.
Responsibilities: Manages the engagement process between Connections Academy schools and the P&T development team.
Works to identify, schedule, onboard, and engage schools to be partners in the Small Wins workflow.
Provides all Small Wins communications to and from the Small Wins team and sprints.
Communicates with School Leaders & School teams, communicates with Customer Success Partners and the larger P&T organization, communicates about what Small Wins is doing, has done, and will do.
All communications should be centered around value being delivered to schools and value being generated for PVS.
Responsible for defining, organizing, & facilitating the human centered design including a kick-off presentation/workshop that sets the stage for design thinking and the small wins framework.
Contributes to Product Showcases, Product Demos, and other touchpoints where P&T information is shared and celebrated.
Maintains a catalog of “small win” deliveries as a sort of Knowledge Base to be shared with other parts of the organization and to highlight on our Product Marketing site.
Work with the Product team to build process to incorporate non-small win ideas and feedback from design thinking sessions into the broader product roadmap.
Create a plan for continuous iterative improvements to the small win's framework – document discoveries, learnings, and reflection on the process each round and collect feedback from school participants, development team, and any other involved cross functional team members.

Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years product management experience, including experience managing digital products.
Demonstrated success in leading a team of individual contributors; experience leading in matrixed environment a plus In-depth understanding of digital learning experiences and delivery that meets needs and deadlines.
Understanding of project management in a multi-disciplined and commercial environment Knowledge of Mural, Microsoft, and Google business applications preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Educational Management Systems is preferred.
