Summary:
The University of Illinois Springfield invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track Associate or full Professor position within the School of Public Management & Policy.
Qualification for the position includes an earned doctorate in public administration, public policy, political science, or a related field.
Teaching responsibilities include core courses within the DPA program and elective courses in the MPA and MPP programs.
This position will support 5-6 dissertation committees by a combination of chairing and serving as a committee member.
Applicants should have a record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and professional service.
Salary is competitive and dependent on qualifications.
Experience in online teaching is desirable.
This is a full-time on-campus position tenure-track academic appointment.
UIS tenure-system faculty are expected to be available and engaged in the university community, with assigned professional responsibilities for teaching, scholarship, and service.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Teaching: A 3/3 teaching load is standard.
Courses to be taught include: PAD651 Leading Social Sector Change and Innovation, PAD652 Public Management Seminar: Connecting Practice and Theory, PAD654 Research Design, PAD508 Economics and Public Policy, and PAD533 Program Evaluation.
Scholarship: Evidence of high-quality scholarship and an active research agenda.

Service: Evidence of high-quality professional service.

Minimum Qualifications:
An earned doctorate in public administration, public policy, political science, or a related field.
A record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and professional service.

Experience in online teaching
