Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Audit Manager.
Under administrative direction, this position will plan, organize, direct, and control a team of auditors engaged in the performance of a variety of audits within the Department.
The position will advise the Chief Internal Auditor of audit risks and staff capabilities.
This position provides a great opportunity for a motivated individual who is interested in managing an internal auditing team and ensuring the team’s effectiveness within the Department of Children and Family Services.

Job Responsibilities
1.
Serves as Audit Manager
2.
Serves as full line supervisor
3.
Collaborates with the Chief Internal Auditor to provide on-the-job and formalized internal audit training
4.
Monitors office activities to ensure compliance with the Office of Internal Audits Policies and Procedures Manual and the Department of Children and Family Services policies and procedures
5.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Minimum Qualifications
1.
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college with courses in accounting and auditing
2.
Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or private sector auditing office
Preferred Qualifications
1.
2 years of professional experience managing an internal audit function in a public or business organization
2.
Current Certified Internal Auditor designation
3.
2 years of experience conducting internal audits in a public or business organization
4.
Current Certified Information Systems Auditor designation
5.
2 years of experience supervising professional staff in a public or business organization
Conditions of Employment

Requires possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel
