Posting Identification Number: 33286 Position Overview The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking a professional Corrections Supply Supervisor III to help manage its Illinois Correctional Industries Warehouse.
The person selected for this position will store, receive, and ship products, supplies, and equipment throughout the state to different Illinois Correctional Industries worksites.
Additionally, this position will supervise and participate in the accurate recording of inventory items, distribution of materials, supplies, equipment, and providing ad hoc reports as requested.

Job Responsibilities Serves as working supervisor and supervises individual in custody workers assigned to the warehouse.
Monitors the receiving Illinois Correctional Industries (ICI) products, supplies, and equipment.
Coordinates and assists Warehouse/Trucking Manager (Public Service Administrator) in preparation of Order for Delivery forms for annual and quarterly stock needs.
Estimates inventory needs and preparers orders on quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis.
Establishes and maintains inventory records on received and shipped items.
Monitors daily records systems involving Receiving Reports, Orders for Deliveries, Shipping Reports, and Inventory Control Records on SAP.
Reviews shipping reports to ensure shipping reports are accurate and all items are accounted for prior to shipping.
Monitors the safety and security of the warehouse relating to performance of assigned duties.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school or completion of an approved training course.
Requires four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the keeping of stores and stores records.
Preferred Qualifications (In Order of Significance) Prefers at least three (3) years of working with institutional rules, regulations, and requirements for the control of individuals in custody.
Prefers at least five (5) years professional experience ordering supplies, processing invoices, and distributing materials to work locations.
Prefers at least five (5) years of experience in a professional setting applying elementary knowledge of professional accounting, auditing, and/or inventory methods and procedures.
Prefers at least three (3) years of professional experience with the SAP platform and/or similar type of inventory management system.
Prefers at least three (3) years of experience preparing reports concerning unusual incidents, accidents, and/or violations of rules by employees and/or individuals in custody.
Prefers at least three (3) years of experience communicating effectively using both verbal and written skills relaying specific job instructions.
Prefers at least five (5) years of experience in a professional setting performing detailed work involving written or numerical data.
Prefers at least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
Conditions of Employment This position is considered medium work as defined by the U.

Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
