Job Title: Executive Director Organization: Solid Rock Location:Springfield, IL Job Type: Full-Time About Us: Solid Rock is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to empowering and supporting youth in and aging out of the foster care system.
Our mission is to provide supportive services and transitional housing to youth that are in and aging out of foster care, and be a resource and support system for those who care for them.
Position Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate individual to serve as the Executive Director of Solid Rock’s Child Welfare Agency.
The Executive Director will play a pivotal role in leading the agency, overseeing program development, and ensuring the effective delivery of services to youth in and aging out of the foster care system as well as unwavering support and service to foster parents.
Responsibilities: *Strategic Leadership:* ● Develop and implement a strategic vision for the agency that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
● Provide visionary leadership to guide the agency in meeting the evolving needs of youth in and aging out of the foster care system as well as current and potential foster parents.
● Establishes a means of accountability for those to whom he/she has assigned responsibility.
● Effectively manages the human resources of the agency according to authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations.
Provides supervision and development for all staff.
● Collaborate with the organzations leadership on agency goals and objectives.
*Program Development and Implementation:* ● Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of programs and services to support the well-being of youth as well as the licensing and support for foster families.
● Ensure that programs are responsive to the unique challenges faced by individuals in the foster care system as well as the foster families.
● Assist and collaborate with organizational events and initiatives.
*Financial Management:* ● Develop and manage the agency’s budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
● Seek and secure funding through grants, partnerships, and fundraising efforts to support program initiatives.
● Ensures that adequate funds are available to carry out the organization’s mission.
*Personnel Management:* Recruit, train, and supervise a dedicated team of professionals to deliver high-quality services.
Foster a positive and inclusive agency culture that values diversity and promotes employee well-being.
*Advocacy and Community Engagement:* Advocate for the rights and needs of youth in and aging out of the foster care system at local, state, and national levels.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, and stakeholders.
*Competencies:* ● In-depth knowledge of the foster care system, child welfare policies, and best practices.
● Strong financial management skills, including budget development and monitoring.
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of organizational work.
● Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate with a diverse team.
● Must demonstrate credibility and positive self-concepts turning negatives into positives and maintaining an optimistic outlook when faced with organization difficulties.
● Must display a high degree of emotional maturity keeping difficult situations in proper perspective.
● Must excel in interpersonal communications and interactions with staff, clients, the Board, and the community.
Must understand the approaches to and methods of performance improvement.
● Demonstrated accomplishments in field.
● Experience in small group process and human relations.
● Must be a solution based leader.
● Must be highly self-motivated and have ability to apply excellent problem solving and decision-making skills in a wide variety of settings.
● Must be able to select, develop, and motivate people, and create a positive work environment.
● Ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively and determine appropriate courses of action for the organization.
● Ability to integrate and harmonize diversified functions.
*Qualifications:* ● Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
● Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with a proven track record of leadership in social services or youth-focused organizations.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.
00 - $120,000.
