Seed Treatment Lead

*Summary/Objective* The Seed Treatment Lead at BRANDT Curran will be responsible for ensuring timely treatment and distribution of soybeans to BRANDT locations and seed partners.
Seed treatment applications and seed quality standards will be of the highest quality.
Must be someone who enjoys being part of a team, leading a seasonal worker team, and can also work alone for periods of time.
Special attention must be given to administrative duties and ensure timely flow of data.
Keeping the facility tidy and organized is a daily requirement.
The Seed Treatment Lead at Curran will report to the Seed and Technical Agronomy Manager.
This position will work with the BRANDT organization and other seed partners.
It is a potential leadership opportunity for growth into other positions.
*Essential Functions* * Fill and take deliveries of bulk and packaged soybeans.
* Forecast scheduling of treatment and deliveries to maximize output.
* Timely distribution of treated seed to BRANDT and seed partners through trucking partners.
* Coordinate and ensure treated soybean output beats planting window timing.
* Report deliveries and transfers for chemicals and seed to accounting team.
* Provide seed information for each treated batch to accounting team daily.
* Coordinate returns of unused chemistry and pallets/boxes to manufacturers.
* Organize and coordinate fleet of seed boxes.
* Utilize support staff within our vendors to ensure efficient operation and an outlook to improve processes.
* Provide preventative maintenance and cleaning to machinery, tools, and boxes.
* Cross train and assist other BRANDT locations in the slower season.
* Strive to be the trusted expert for seed treatment inquiries at BRANDT.
* Work with Technical Agronomy team to treat small batches of experimental seed.
* Other essential functions exist but are too numerous to name.

*Work Environment* The Seed Treatment Lead at BRANDT Curran will work at the Curran facility.
This position may be working in cold or hot weather.
The slower season will lead to learning opportunities at other BRANDT facilities to assist and cross train.
*Classification/Expected Hours of Employment* This position is a full time position and is non-exempt.
Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday but seasonal overtime will be needed and is required.
*Travel* Not applicable to this position.
*Required Education and Experience* · 2 years of seed treatment experience required.
· Seed treatment license required.
· Intermediate computer and software skills required.
· CDL is preferred.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
· Ability to be on feet 8 hours a day or more.
