Description:
Dometic Marine’s facility in Litchfield, IL is our main distribution center that manages the packaging and distribution of aftermarket marine and OPE industrial products.
Supply Chain Manager is responsible to manage all aspects of materials flow and to maintain control and accuracy over all inventory, including all procurement, material planning, and incoming logistics to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time.
This role is also responsible to develop and manage all supplier relationships.
Direct reports consists of five buyers, one material coordinator, and one sourcing specialist; Reports to General Manager; and position is onsite at our Litchfield, IL location.
Requirements:
Define and execute a world class Supply chain strategy to improve working capital and improve customer experience by improving customer order fill rates.
Develop and implement a Sales and Operations Planning process
Define and implement Supply Chain metrics
Support the execution of procurement and sourcing activities for products, leveraging industry best practices, commodity experience, sourcing methodology and global partnerships.
Take a proactive approach to resolve issues (i.
e.
, material shortages, quality issues, etc.
) with vendors and internal customers using organizational savvy and problem-solving skills
Help implement plans to reduce dependency on single-source suppliers through contracts, dual sourcing or strategic partnerships
Negotiate supply agreements with key suppliers using the Dometic Supply Agreement
Support supplier base reduction and simplification strategies
Conduct Supplier Evaluations and work with suppliers to optimize performance based upon such evaluations
Ensure purchases are made for reasonable and legitimate business purpose
Manage purchase-to-receipt process of products for manufacturing and distribution center
Follow process in RFP/RFQ preparation and implementation, contract negotiation and management
Prepare forecasts to anticipate supply problems and take preventive actions
Keep informed about new products, processes and recommend those that could be beneficial to company
Support and maintain relationships with suppliers as needed to see that they are fulfilling their contractual obligations to the company
Prepare key metric reports for department
Resolve vendor or contractor issues and claims against suppliers
Collaborate and proactively communicate supplier selection decisions impact on internal stakeholders
Effectively communicate decision requirements and results to management and colleagues as appropriate
Qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s in business management, purchasing and/or supply chain management, or equivalent industry experience
Experience in an MRP / ERP environment
Experience in business modeling and analytics (Excel, Power BI, MS Access, other programming)
Five plus years of Procurement/Sourcing experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment
Experience in a global multinational corporate environment
Professional certifications: CPM/CPSM, CPIM/CSCP, or equivalent preferred
APICS or other professional certification is highly desired
