Job Responsibilities The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Product Manager.
Subject to management approval, this position will develop and implement policies and procedures regarding data and systems management of the Division of Employee Services for the Department.
The position will provide feature and scope for systems and data for the assigned division, while working with the Department of Innovation and Technology to develop and coordinate the deployment of EDP hardware systems, the availability of software, the adoption of system features, and the utilization of hardware and software.
The position will also provide quality control on projects and serve as scope and feature lead on systems development impacting division functioning.
This position provides a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in IT Product Management who has a desire to utilize those skills to enhance the operations of the Department of Children and Family Services.

Serves as Product Manager for the Division of Employee Services.
2.
Serves as scope and feature lead on systems development impacting Employee Services functioning.
3.
Provides oversight of IFS system data quality, usage, and security.
4.
Serves as full line supervisor.
5.
Collaborates with Department data stewards and DoIT Data Management to develop Business Intelligence (BI) processes to increase productivity, improve decision making processes, and improve the accuracy of data.
6.
Plans, develops, and provides special one-time studies regarding the impact of policy requirements, administrative decisions, and demographic changes.
7.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications 1.
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.
2.
Requires four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.
Preferred Qualifications 1.
4 years of professional experience overseeing or conducting IT product management activities in a public or business organization.
2.
4 years of professional experience in the development and implementation of policies and procedures in a public or private organization.
3.
4 years of professional experience conducting program planning activities in a public or business organization.
4.
4 years of professional experience in the development of strategies for the improvement of program services and usage of technology.
5.
4 years of experience supervising professional staff in a public or business organization.
6.
4 years of experience serving in a liaison capacity for a public or business organization.

Requires possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

This position will be expected to travel statewide up to 75% of the time.
