Posting Identification Number 32905 Position Overview The Office Associate position within the Office of Grants Management serves as an integral component of office functions, helping the office supervisors and other staff with reports, data tracking, and other assistance associated with both the processing of grant applications submitted by grantees and of administering executed grants.
The ideal candidate will be able to take on these tasks quickly and conduct their work in a timely manner.
The Office of Grants Management handles the establishment and administration of grants for a variety of grant programs at the same time, including capital grants.
This somewhat unique environment provides a steady workload and is a key aspect of the grant establishment and grant administration process.

Using a personal computer, types grantee forms, and highly specialized reporting documents, applies a general understanding of the agency's policies, review forms for accuracy and completeness and notifies manager of any minor discrepancies for further follow-up.
2.
Utilizing a personal computer, prepares complex, detailed and technical information.
3.
Maintains correspondence files of letters and reports, establishing a filing system that is up-to-date, organized and complete.
4.
Performs general office functions such as: opening, sorting and distributing mail.
5.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications 1.
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
2.
Requires two years of office experience.
3.
Requires ability to type accurately at 45 wpm.
Conditions of Employment 1.
Requires ability to pass a background check.
