Posting Identification Number DF33250 Job Posting Details: The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Bureau of Collections is seeking clerical support staff to assist the Technical Recovery Section with various complex tasks pertaining to Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury, and Liens and Estates claims.
Duties will include receiving, researching, and tracking incoming checks; composing lien letters to attorneys, insurance companies, and department officials; accessing medical and financial information for outgoing notices; processing all incoming mail; reviewing, creating and filing cases accordingly; data entry; and assisting with answering incoming calls.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and display motivation and initiative.
The preferred candidate will exhibit the ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up on tasks to ensure such are completed accurately and timely to achieve set goals to recover monies owed to the department.

Job Responsibilities Serves as Clerical Support Staff for the Bureau of Collections Services, Technical Recovery Section (TRS) Accesses information and processes hospital referrals and trauma letters Conducts a variety of complex specialized clerical activities pertaining to the Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation Program and Liens and Estates Units Processes all incoming mail and ensures such is distributed to the appropriate staff and/or program Acquires ledgers for related Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, or Liens and Estates cases Enters data and processes statistical reports Creates electronic and/or hard copy files, files documents, and responds to telephone inquiries Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two years of office experience Requires the ability to keyboard accurately 45 words per minute (WPM) Conditions of Employment Requires the ability to pass a background check Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop Work Hours: 8:30 a.
